background
+ artistic philosophy
I began my life behind the lens with a simple box camera at seven and have worked my way through a myriad of film cameras before joining the digital age 20+ years ago with a small Canon. Nikon has been my choice since 2008. I like to shoot the world around me as my father also did: The city and its people with their activities, all caught and framed at a moment where they’re found without makeup or formal posing.

My photo from a D Magazine article I wrote on cotton broker Dennis Gordon King. Sam Walton grandson Steuart Walton in his 1945 “Super” Corsair with a 28-cylinder, 3,000-horsepower radial engine, the last flyable “Super” Corsair. Sunset over our Loch Lomand here in Bella Vista, AR. Cool things abound at Terra Studio near Fayetteville, AR.
1. Fun w/a photo I took of my neighbor’s 1953 Buick Skylark. 2. My friend Bob Whitehead and his hot Datsun-powered ‘29 A. 3. Ed Miller’s A/Fuel Altered. 4. Two Tulsa friends: the late Junior Markham (harmonica) and my longtime guitar set-up guy, Steve Hickerson. 5. Two more old Tulsa friends I shot in 2010. If you’ve ever heard Eric Clapton’s “I Shot the Sheriff,” that’s Jamie Oldaker on drums and Dick Sims on organ. Both are unfortunately gone now.
These are samples of the photographs taken by my father, Connell Miller Sr. between 1939 and 1954. Send for my free catalog showing many of his images along with information on how to order prints. They have been scanned from his original large-format negatives and will come with captions.
If you would like to purchase a print or a painting, please contact me at crmillerdesign@yahoo.com and I will email you my catalog with over a hundred photographs (along with any captions!) and artwork available for sale.
For my printing, I use a professional lab that does outstanding work. They use dye-based inks with Kodak Professional Endura Premier Paper that will give you a Standard Archival Value of 100 years in home display; 200 years in dark storage.
The normally ordered size is 8x10, but other sizes are available. Please wait before ordering any ready-made frame and/or matting, as the size of your print could vary slightly due to cropping of the image to give its best composition.
Pricing is as follows (and includes tax and shipping):
8x10 - $65 11x14 - $80 16x20 - $95
